Beyoncé and husband Jay-Z brought their daughter, Blue Ivy to the sporting event Sunday
The three were seated during the National Anthem, a popular protest during football games against police brutality in America.
The Super Bowl is no stranger to Beyoncé, since she performed in 2013 during the halftime show.
Jay-Z also just recently partnered with the NFL to give his advice on the entertainment portions of the Super Bowl, including the halftime show.
The power couple took an opportunity to raise awareness of racism in the USA
During the National Anthem, sung by Demi Lovato, many decided not to stand in protest of police brutality and to show support for Colin Kaepernick.
The couple is "continuing Kaepernick’s legacy to raise awareness of racism and police brutality in the United States," according to People magazine.
Jay-Z admitted he "supported Kaepernick and people protesting social inequality", but he said he also was interested in working with the NFL to make positive change.
