Two punk rock legends cover "Manic Monday"

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong and The Bangles frontwoman Susanna Hoffs join punk rock forces to release a cover of The Bangles 1986 hit song "Manic Monday".

The video shows Armstrong and Hoffs in an artsy split screen, with Armstrong's trademark vocals.

The video was released as part of Armstrong's "No Fun Monday" covers.

Armstrong has recently revealed that he has penned out six new Green Day songs while he self isolates from home.

“I’ve been writing a lot of music, and I had all these melodies in my head, so I wrote, like, six songs since all of this has been going on,” he told Kerrang!

“I don’t know when I can get together with Mike and Tré, but I told them to make sure that they’re quarantined for now, and then I hope down the road we can get back in the studio with [producer] Butch Walker," he continued.

Green Day released their 13th studio "Father of All Motherf--ers" February 7.
