Cole Sprouse (30) and Riverdale colleague Lili Reinhart (26) were an absolute dream couple from 2018 to 2020. The separation shocked many fans at the time. Now Cole Sprouse spoke on the podcast Call Her Daddy about his ex-relationships and also about the love-off with Lili Reinhart.
Cole Sprouse speaks honestly about split from Lili Reinhart
When asked who ended the relationship, Cole Sprouse initially replied that the breakup was mutual. Only when asked by host Alex Cooper did he admit that he ended the relationship.
"Honestly, when you've been in a relationship for so long and someone breaks up, it's no surprise.", says Cole in an interview. The separation was very hard for both of them. The fact that the two were in front of the camera together for Riverdale made the relationship even more difficult.

As Cole admits, they've both caused each other a lot of pain. But now they are good friends. "We're both exactly where we should be", says Cole.
However, he admits that he would have preferred to end the relationship sooner. "I think if I had loved myself a little bit more, I probably would have left [my relationship with Lili] a little bit sooner. I just felt like I had to take care of a lot of people around me, which didn't do me any good. I probably should have shown a little more selfishness in this situation.”
Nevertheless, the former Suite Life of Zack & Cody star is glad he had someone by his side during the filming of Riverdale who also went through the same thing as he did.
