Gillian Jacobs is best known for her role on Community as "Britta Perry". Born October 19, 1982 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Gillian spent her childhood preparing for her future career. At the age of eight, she began taking acting classes at a local theatre company, working her way up to leading roles, and eventually moving to NYC after graduation to attend Juilliard.
Growing up in Pennsylvania, her family actually owned the former Lake Erie Brewing Company which plays a large part in her abstinence from alcohol today. Watching many members of her family suffer from alcohol addiction, she made the choice to become a teetotaler at an early age!

Gillian Jacobs landed a role on Community in 2009 after getting her start on the theater stage and guest starring on numerous TV series. Community was an instant success, also starring Alison Brie, Ken Jeong, and Donald Glover!
Gillian Jacobs would play the part of "Britta Perry", a high school dropout who dreams of becoming a psychologist one day, for a total of 110 episodes over the series' six seasons! Fans were deeply saddened when the hit NBC comedy announced that season six would be its final.
