'Queen Sono': Netflix's First African Series

Born in Atlanta, Georgia on June 9th, 1989, Lauren Browning was adopted and grew up in a large family with three other brothers. She ended up attending the prestigious Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee before the start of her acting career.

Her debut role on screen was in the teen drama series Summerland from 2004-2005. She then landed a part in Nickelodeon's Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide around the same time! By 2007, she made her film debut in Bratz: The Movie

Yet, Logan had finally landed a main role in Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns from 2009-2011, which really boosted her career!

Logan would appear in another Tyler Perry series, For Better or Worse, a few years later. Her main role today continues to be in the drama-comedy Dear White People, which has been on Netflix since 2017! The series has been nominated for several awards, including two nominations from the Black Reel Awards for Television for Outstanding Actress, Comedy Series that Logan can add to her acting resumé!

Her character "Samantha" has been both prolific and daring in the series. The show is set for its fourth and final season this year!

If you're in the mood for a movie, you can check her and Allison Williams in the 2019 film, The Perfection, also released on Netflix. Just beware: it is a psychological horror thriller movie after all! 

The beauty will be turned 31 this year!
