Selena Gomez has made the decision to step away from the internet, and she doesn't have any regrets about it! On Monday, the Only Murders in the Building star talked to Good Morning America about changing her approach to the digital world, which she says has dramatically impacted her mental health.

Gomez says staying off the internet "makes me feel normal"

Gomez said that it's been "four and a half years" since she was last on the internet, commenting on how her decision "has changed my life completely." While she occasionally uses Instagram to keep her fans updated on her life — such as when she recently debuted her brand-new hairstyle — and the various projects she's involved in, she shared that staying offline has done wonders for her mental health.

The actress and singer explained that she feels "happier" and "more present" now that she's spending her time away from the internet, going as far as to say that it "makes me feel normal." Gomez also touched on how growing up as a young star ended up influencing her decision to step back from things, mentioning that she "took the necessary steps in order to kind of remove myself from that" because of her past experiences.
