Dizzee shuts it down

Piers Morgan invited U.K. rapper Dizzee Rascal on Good Morning Britain for a nice early chat, but the rapper shut down the conversation when it turned away from the music.

Originally appearing on the show to promote his Utilita Liva Drive-In concerts and his involvement in the process, Morgan broached the topic of Black Lives Matter, pressing the rapper to comment.

"What makes you think I know?" Rascal asked.

"I don’t know, because you’re a Black man," replied Morgan.

"But am I the Black spokesperson?” Rascal replied, adding that while he does have a lot of views on the matter, "it was early."

"Today we’re talking about the drive-in, and I hope this isn’t a missed opportunity to speak up on a lot of the badness that’s been happening, but it’s really nice and sunny out today, and I can’t really be bothered to go into all of this, this morning," Rascal continued.

He continued, "I’ve brought my afro out, I’m looking a bit natural and that, so maybe that’s why you’re asking the question, but not today."

Morgan retorted and scoffed at that notion, and replied, "Come on, Dizzee, that’s not why I’m asking you the question. You’re a high-profile Black man in this country and it’s a huge issue, and has been a huge news story for the past four weeks."

Rascal also hilariously called out Morgan saying, "I watch you on T.V, you never let no one speak, I'm not no one. You're not going to do this to me, mate."

He then continued to say that he does have a bunch of views, but that the morning talk show wasn't the time, and shifted focus back to the music.
