Dynasty and All My Children star Michael Nader has passed away.

The soap opera actor died of cancer at the age of 76 on Monday. His wife Jodi Lister announced the sad news on Aug. 25 in a statement reported by Deadline.

Nader's wife wrote: "With heavy heart, I'm sharing the news of the passing of my beloved, Michael. We had 18 wonderful years together with the many dogs we fostered and adopted.

"Recently, Michael was so thrilled to reconnect with his friends from the cast of Dynasty during Emma Samms virtual event to help raise funds for Long-Covid research. He was a beautiful and fascinating man with many talents and skills. I will miss him forever."

Nader was best known for playing "Dex Dexter," the popular husband of villain "Alexis Colby," on Dynasty from 1983 to 1989. He later played "Dimitri Marick" in over 400 episodes of legendary soap opera All My Children from 1991 until 2001.

Earlier in his career, Nader also had roles on Gidget and Bare Essence, and he guest starred on Law & Order: SVU in 2002. He reprised his role on All My Children in 2013, in what would be his final acting work.

Per Deadline, Nader is survived by his wife Jodi and a daughter, Lindsay. Our thoughts are with Nader's family. He will be missed.
