Tragic news out of Hollywood: Actor Adam Rich has passed away at the age of 54. 

Rich, best known as a child star on Eight Is Enough, was found dead at his home on Jan. 7, 2023, according to TMZ.

As a child, Adam Rich began acting on TV shows of the 1970s. He is remembered for playing "Nicholas Bradford," the youngest son on ABC's Eight Is Enough, from 1977 to 1981.

Afterward in the 1980s, Rich starred in Code Red and lent his voice to the animated series Dungeons & Dragons.

He also appeared in episodes of Fantasy Island, The Love Boat, and Baywatch, to name just a few. He returned for Eight Is Enough TV movies in the late '80s as well.

Off-screen, Rich at times struggled with addiction and legal problems. To this day, he is remembered as a beloved child actor of classic TV. 

Per TMZ, Rich's cause of death was not immediately disclosed, but foul play is not suspected. He was 54.
