Billie Lourd and Austen Rydell are officially engaged! As People reports, Rydell made the big announcement to the world via Instagram on Thursday.

"She said YES!! (Actually she said 'Duhhh') But I guess that’s even better than yes?!?" he wrote in his caption, which included several emojis alongside the photos he shared of him and Lourd. And in one of the photos of the newly engaged couple, Lourd can be seen showing off her ring!

Lourd and her fiancé Rydell reconnected just three years ago

Lourd and Rydell were romantically involved when they were younger, but as People mentions, they didn't rekindle their relationship until October 2017!

Prior to that time, Lourd had been dating her Scream Queens co-star Taylor Lautner. Lautner had provided emotional support to Lourd after she lost her mother Carrie Fisher and grandmother Debbie Reynolds in December 2016.

But in 2017, Rydell even joined Lourd and her family during their family trip to Norway on the anniversary of Fisher's death. People shares that the pair— along with Lourd's father Bryan Lourd and his husband, Bruce Bozzi— saw the Northern Lights while they were there.

Rydell made a sweet post about Lourd earlier on in the year in honour of Valentine's Day! "I found the best girl in the world. Happy Valentines Day to us!! We’re hangin with the redwoods today," he captioned the photo, which showed the couple kissing with a sunset behind them.

Lourd also took to Instagram on the romantic holiday. As People mentions, she posted a series of photos of the couple vacationing together. "All ‘round the world you make my world go ‘round," Lourd wrote, including the hashtag "#toinfinityandbaeyond."
