As a mother of the young "Rory", Lauren Graham's role in Gilmore Girls helped take her career to the next level. The show ran from 2000 to 2007 and was a major success. Even after Gilmore Girls Lauren was not idle. She played in several movies like Evan Almighty and The Answer Man. She also starred in the TV series Parenthood in 2010 for five years, where she again portrayed a single mother.
