The mother-daughter Hollywood duo!

Goldie Hawn and Kate Hudson are Hollywood royalty, and are gracing the cover of People magazine. In their cover issue, the mother-daughter duo open up about their strong womanly bond.

In 1979, on her way to the hospital about to birth her daughter, the 74 year old actress was set on the name Rebecca. It wasn't until a big kick in utero did Hawn reveal she changed her mind.

“She kicked me so hard in my vagina that I changed her name right on the spot because she was tough. I had named her Rebecca and on the 405 I went, ‘This is a Kate,'” Hawn revealed.

The women went on to explain that their relationship really strengthened after Hudson became a mother herself.

Hudson has three children, sons Ryder, 16, Bing, 8, and 18-month old daughter Rani Rose, whom she shares with current hubby, Danny Fujikawa.

“It was really amazing with Bing, because it was the first time any of us in the family had had a natural birth,” says Hudson. “And you [Hawn] got to be there.”

“Every part of that birth was just so beautiful,” Hudson adds.

The two are featured on Friday's issue, just two weeks before Mother's Day.
