Jenny Slate has gotten married to Ben Shattuck after being engaged for several years! The actress and comedian is featured in Marie Claire's Winter 2022 issue, which saw her share why she and her now-husband decided to have a private home wedding.

Slate says she liked the small wedding more

Slate and Shattuck became engaged back in 2019, and were planning for an event on a much grander scale. However, the pandemic caused things to be put on hold. Slate mentioned that their wedding was supposed to have "almost 200 people" in attendance, but got called off on three different occasions.

However, on New Year's Eve, the couple decided to go for it and finally tie the knot— in their very own living room! "We each invited six friends… I actually like it. I like it better," Slate admitted, sharing that she found herself slightly "uncomfortable" with the idea of a larger wedding.

Slate was previously married to Dean Fleischer-Camp before the two were divorced in 2016. She and Shattuck welcomed their first child together in 2021, daughter Ida. We look forward to seeing what the year ahead has in store for the happily married couple!
