Joe Pesci, Robert De Niro And Martin Scorsese's Friendship
Actor Robert De Niro is known for such films as The Godfather Part II, Awakenings and Meet the Parents while Joe Pesci has made such movies as Home Alone, My Cousin Vinny and the Lethal Weapon series. These two actors however experienced their best successes with director Martin Scorsese.
Scorsese started his career with the so-called "movie brats" of the 70s; his friends Brian De Palma, Francis Ford Coppola, George Lucas and Steven Spielberg. It wasn't until his eighth Oscar nomination after an almost 40-year career that he won Best Director for his film, The Departed.
Scorsese loves to collaborate with the same actors such as Leonardo DiCaprio and Harvey Keitel. In fact, there are only three of his films to date where he hasn't reunited with someone from a previous film of his: Kundun, Bringing Out the Dead and Hugo.
