Kate Gosselin has spoken out following claims of Jon Gosselin's abuse. As Entertainment Tonight reports, Kate's son Collin said that Jon had been violent towards him, and Kate feels that her ex-husband is a danger to her kids.
Kate calls ex-husband Jon "a violent and abusive person"
Kate's son Collin detailed the abuse his father had put him through in an Instagram post before it was deleted. "He punched me in the face and gave me a swollen nose and I started bleeding," he had written of the incident. "He then continued to kick me in the ribs after I was on the floor."
Now, Kate has come forward to share her feelings about her ex-husband, who she formerly starred with on TLC's Jon & Kate Plus 8. "I am done hiding and will say this unequivocally: Jon is a violent and abusive person," she said to People. "The police need to do their jobs. I am so sick of Jon’s abuse being disguised as everything but… I don’t want my children around him. Enough is enough."
Kate feels incident involving son should "qualify as assault"
Kate explained that she had found out about what Collin said had happened to him after being told of it by Pennsylvania’s Berks County Child & Youth Services. "I learned of this incident from CYS," she shared, "and through them, I was then read multiple reports — from the police report to Collin’s statement to the police to the account of an adult eyewitness. They were all very similar, if not identical."
"Until I receive the letter from CYS about whether they’ve deemed the allegations founded or not, it’s ongoing,” she said of the investigation into claims of Jon's assault towards Collin. "My contact at CYS has not told me otherwise. If this doesn’t qualify as assault, I don’t know what does.”

It seems something has changed in the case, as it had previously been stated that the matter wasn't being looked into by law enforcement. "No charges or citations were filed as a result of that incident," Berks County D.A. Adams had previously told People. "We are not investigating at this point." This accusation of abuse is the latest example of drama between the former reality show couple, as Jon said that custody battles with Kate have cost 1.3 million!
