Katy Perry went camping for the first time not long ago, and recently opened up about the experience!
As People reports, the singer appeared on WNEW 102.7’s Karen Carson in the Morning on Monday, where she talked about how a backyard camping trip she recently had with her family turned into an adventure in the woods.
Perry was initially excited to go camping outdoors for her "babymoon"
Perry and her nieces and nephews— along with her fiancé Orlando Bloom and his son Flynn— didn't have to leave home for their first camping trip! "We camped in the backyard. We have tents, we set it up, we do a little fire pit, a lot of S'mores," Perry shared. "We got into family UNO and Legos like nothing else."
After that backyard outing though, the group then took their camping adventures into the wilderness, which Perry called a "very different experience," as People mentions. "When you camp in your backyard, you can just go into your house and go to the bathroom," she said.
"But when you're camping in the wild, it's wild. It was fun, it was a lot. I was like, 'It'll be so fun, it'll be like my babymoon is to go camping,'" Perry said. "And then, oh you do everything yourself. Cool."
Perry on expecting a baby girl soon: "I'm as excited as I can be"
Perry also opened up about how she's feeling leading up to her due date. "I'm as excited as I can be," Perry revealed. "I've been every emotion under the sun. I've been overwhelmed, I've been anxious, I've been happy, I've been overjoyed, I've been depressed. I've been all of it. The world is just a wild time and it's a wild time to bring life into the world."
She also said that at this point in time, she and Bloom haven't decided on a name for their daughter-to-be! "We've got options and she'll tell us … I'll look at her and go, 'Oh yeah, you are her, you are that.'" the singer explained.
A source close to Bloom previously shared with People that the couple is eagerly anticipating the arrival of their brand-new bundle of joy. "They love that they have this amazing, positive thing to focus on right now," the source said. "It's such a happy distraction for them."
