Kelly Clarkson has made the decision to leave her husband, Brandon Blackstock! As Entertainment Tonight shares, Clarkson officially filed for divorce from Blackstock in Los Angeles on June 4.

A representative for the singer has yet to comment on the separation, but the news came as an unexpected shock for fans, since Blackstock recently wished Clarkson happy birthday in April!

Blackstock and Clarkson's kids shared a special birthday message

Clarkson and Blackstock have two children together— 5-year-old daughter River and 4-year-old son Remington. The couple tied the knot back in 2013, and Blackstock even wished Clarkson a happy birthday on The Kelly Clarkson Show just a few months ago!

Clarkson's birthday video from her family started with a sweet message from her daughter. "I love you, momma," River said. "I hope you have a good birthday day and I love you so much. And I would sing a special song for when it’s your birthday, well, today."

Remington then shared his birthday wishes before Blackstock's 13-year-old son Seth, followed by Blackstock himself wishing Clarkson a happy birthday. "Just now seeing this and I am bawling! They’re all so cute!" Clarkson said of the video, which she shared on Twitter. "I’ve had a bit of a rough week and this just turned it around."
