There has been a huge shock for Lebron James and his family. His son Bronny, who is only 18 years old, has suffered a cardiac arrest during basketball training. Bronny has been poised as being almost ready to start taking over his father's legacy in the NBA. This latest health scare could potentially derail his entire career, if not, his foreseeable future in the game. Here are the details on what exactly happened with Bronny during his episode.

Lebron James' is in full dad more right now

As a spokesman for the family confirmed to TMZ, Bronny was immediately hospitalized and treated on Monday. He is out of the intensive care unit and in stable condition, their statement said. "Yesterday while practicing Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest. Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital. He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU," the statement went on to say. This is just another example of young athletes suddenly developing heart risks in recent years which many medical experts in the field are baffled by!

As for the James family, this can be the beginning of a new reality.

"We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update media when there is more information. LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes," the statement concluded. Lebron James himself has not yet commented on the incident. And fans are hoping this is just an isolated incident.

The 6-foot-3 Bronny guard was rated a four-star recruit and shined in the McDonald’s All-American Game in March featuring some of the country’s top high school basketball players. Let's hope his career isn't stunted by this!
