The rock star talked about Zoë's exciting role as he appeared on the red carpet at the 2020 Breakthrough Prize ceremony at NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, California on Sunday night. He spoke to ET and commented on the fact that his 30-year-old daughter will soon be starring as "Catwoman" opposite Robert Pattinson, who is taking on the role of the masked vigilante.
Lenny Kravitz talks about Zoë's role as "Catwoman"
"I grew up watching Eartha Kitt do it on Batman, on the TV show, when I was a kid, so I'm really looking forward to this," Kravitz revealed and added that he "was very excited about it" when he first heard about her being cast as "Selina Kyle".
And Zoë Kravitz's co-star Robert Pattinson, who will star as "Bruce Wayne", seems to also be looking forward to working with the gorgeous actress, as he told ET last month: "Zoë's great, and I've known her for years and years and years. I've been friends with her for like ten years and she's brilliant."
Most recently, another star was confirmed for a role in the new film directed by Matt Reeves: Paul Dano will play "The Riddler", one of the most infamous villains in the DC universe - he was previously portrayed by Jim Carrey.
The Batman is currently in pre-production. We'll keep you posted with more news about the film, which is scheduled for release on June 25 2021.
