The shocking arrest for Maroon 5's bassist

Bassist of the widely popular band Maroon 5, Mickey Madden got arrested over the weekend over an alleged case of domestic violence. He was arrested in his Los Angeles home on Sunday and was released the same day on a $50,000 bond.

Details of the incident are unclear, but a spokesperson for the LAPD told the Daily News that he was charged with intimate partner violence.

A rep for Maroon 5 did comment on the news.

This is not the first time Madden has been arrested. Back in 2016, Madden was arrested on drug charges after he allegedly slipped a vial of cocaine to James Gubelmann - Ivanka Trump's ex-boyfriend - outside a Manhattan bar.

He was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance but his case was set to be dismissed once he completed the conditions of the deal.

Madden and frontman of Maroon 5, Adam Levine, are the only two members of the current band that started in Austin, Texas when they were still called Kara's Flowers.
