Meghan Markle's Friend Jessica Mulroney Threatens Black Influencer

Social Media influencer and stylist Jessica Mulroney who considers Meghan Markle to be her "closest friend" is now facing major backlash for her poor behavior over the past week.

Popular social media influencer Sasha Exeter shared a video yesterday with the caption "MY AMY COOPER EXPERIENCE" referring to the woman who went viral for calling the police on a black bird watcher in Central Park and making up false allegations against him. Sasha opened up about how Meghan's friend treated her.

Sasha had posted a call on her fellow influencers, in general, to use their platforms to speak out for the Black Lives Matter Movement and Jessica Mulroney believed Sasha was specifically targetting her. Sasha believes it may have been her own guilt for not speaking out and instead promoting her TV show that caused her to feel targetted by Sasha's generic request.

Sasha explained, "What happened next was a series of very problematic behavior and antics that ultimately resulted in [Mulroney] sending me a threat in writing last Wednesday." Jessica, the wife of former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney's son, threatened to ruin Sasha's brand deals which would ultimately affect the lively hood of Sasha. "For her to threaten me, a single mom, a single Black mom, during a racial pandemic blows my mind," Sasha exclaimed especially considering Mulroney's best friend Meghan "is arguably one of the most famous Black women in the world."

Jessica responded by posting an apology in the comments saying "As leaders, we need to join hands and call out wrongs. I know we have different experiences. And that is something that, even in the course of a heated argument, I need to acknowledge and understand. I am unequivocally sorry for not doing that with you, and for any hurt I caused," and "I have lived a very public and personal experience with my closest friend where race was front and centre. It was deeply educational. I learned a lot from that. I promise to continue to learn and listen on how I can use my privilege to elevate and support black voices."

Then minutes after she posted her apology she sent Sasha a DM saying "Liable Suit. Good luck." She meant to say "Libel" in the threat. Once Sasha posted the screenshot of the second threat Jessica's network announced they were cutting ties with her and would not continue with her show. Jess has since posted another apology.
