Dakota Brinkman was lucky to have a real star as a mother. She played "Laura Ingalls" in the series Little House on the Prairie, which ran from 1974 to 1983. Dakota got his last name from his father Bo Brinkman (66), to whom his mother was married from 1988 to 1992.
Dakota Brinkman and his wife Marissa Brinkman welcomed their daughter, Ripley Lou Brinkman, in June 2021. Melissa Gilbert was thus made a happy grandmother. For Father's Day in 2022, the actress posted an emotional series of pictures showing all the caring fathers around her.

"THIS year however, as I put this post together, I see all of the incredible fathers who are in my life now. Seeing how much they each love their children is so incredibly healing for me," she wrote.
