Paris Hilton has a lot she wants people to know. Paris just released a trailer for her new documentary This Is Paris where for the first time fans can see who she really is, how she really acts and her shockingly real voice. The Hilton heiress even gets candid about her intense childhood trauma.

Paris Hilton Gets Real On This Is Paris

Paris Hilton has just released a trailer for her new documentary This Is Paris. In it, we get to see Paris like never before, acting and speaking much differently than the Paris the media has come to know and expect. "Obviously I'm used to being on camera from being on camera for so long. But I've always been a very naturally shy person, so I loved just inventing this character and playing that character."

In the trailer gorgeous Paris says "I feel like the whole world thinks they know me. No one really knows who I am... I don't even know who I am sometimes. I didn't use to be that way. I'm so used to like, playing a character, that it's hard for me to be normal."

Paris Hilton Opens Up About Childhood Trauma

Clearly vulnerable Paris also seems to be opening up to intense childhood trauma she experienced saying "Something happened in my childhood that I've never talked about with anyone. But I couldn't tell you guys, because every time I tried, I would get punished by them. I still have nightmares about it. The only thing that saved my sanity was thinking about who I wanted to become when I got out of there. I just created this brand and this persona and this character, and I've been stuck with her ever since."

Her sister Nicky even said "I just heard screaming bloody murder," and, "They say trauma, the mind may forget, but the body never forgets. It's trapped in you, and it can come out whenever." In the trailer, we get glimpses of footage from when she was young and even recent footage of her performing on stage and fighting backstage with someone.

On Jimmy Kimmel Live! Paris explained "I'm excited, but I'm also very nervous given the topics discussed in this film. It's things I've never talked about before, really personal and traumatic experiences, so to talk about that publicly is obviously very hard." She is excited to be showing her real self to fans and said "To actually be myself was a completely different experience, but also almost therapeutic in some way, where I learned so much about myself. I had no idea why I am the way I am, and now I understand myself so much more."

Paris Hilton's documentary This Is Paris will premiere on September 14th on her YouTube Channel. Check out the trailer here!
