He and his brothers and sisters formed the Melody Makers with Ziggy as the lead member, eventually becoming Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers. With his siblings, he won many Grammy's, and when he released his second solo album Love Is My Religion he won the Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album.

Ziggy Marley's Kids and Family

Ziggy has always been incredibly family-driven, becoming inspired by his kids and dedicating much of his art to them. He has 7 children, Bambaata, Justice, Zuri, Judah Victoria, Gideon, Abraham Selassie, and Isaiah Sion. He has given them all the surname of Robert Nesta Marley in his dad's honor.

He won another Grammy Award for Best Musical Album for Children for his album Family Time. He's created countless family-oriented tunes and projects dedicated to his children. Adorably, Ziggy did voice-acting work for the 2004 DreamWorks film Shark Tale, where he played twin Rasta Jellyfish!

His children are also impressive musicians, like Bambata who is a songwriter and plays the guitar, piano, drums, and sings! Ziggy's talented daughter Justice is a major voice in the Black Lives Matter Movement and earned a degree in Apparel Industry Management to pursue her fashion passions.

During quarantine because of the coronavirus pandemic, Ziggy created a children's album featuring his kids! He wrote More Family Time as a follow-up to his previous children's album. He told Rolling Stone, "With everything that's going on, it just felt right, doing something for the children."

This family man is an inspiration who utilizes his incredible talents to spread the messages his father taught him for families all over.
