Ringo Starr, The Beatles drummer, had a funny incident on social media when he tried to wish his late bandmate John Lennon's birthday. Apparently, he was way off about the exact date but Ringo Starr was able to laugh at the situation and himself. See what he said when he figured out his faux pas!

Ringo Starr Honors John Lennon's Birthday On The Wrong Date!

The 80-year-old British musician Ringo Starr attempted to wish his beloved bandmate John Lennon on his birthday by saying, "John would have turned 80 today. I send you peace and love. I keep missing you, man. Peace and love for Yoko and Sean." The words were sweet and filled with love.

Unfortunately, for Ringo, he was early by about a month! John Lennon was born on October 9th, not September 9th! He was correct in the fact that John would have been 80-years-old had he not been callously murdered 20 years ago in December of 1980.

After Ringo caught onto his mistake, he acknowledged it and took it with fun humor. Adorable Ringo joked, "What happens sometimes is that you wake up in the morning and you don't know where you are, it's the pandemic that is driving us crazy. I still love John but it isn't his birthday until next month. Peace and love. Better early than never."
