Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner Georgina Rodriguez have sadly lost their newborn son. Rodriguez was expecting twins, but the boy did not survive the birth.
Ronaldo and Rodriguez call son their "angel"
The couple took to Instagram to share the terrible news. "It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It's the greatest pain that any parents can feel," they wrote. "Only the birth of our little girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness. We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support."
"We are all devastated at this loss and kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time," they continued. "Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you." Under this post, Ronaldo's team, Manchester United, expressed their sadness. "Your pain is our pain. Sending love and strength to you and the family at this time, @Cristiano."
