• Burning Man is a yearly outdoor festival
  • Extreme weather has ruined this year's celebration
  • Comedian Chris Rock said THIS

Amidst the fanfare and overall confusion in the chaos, many crazy stories have come out, including this one. Comedian Chris Rock who was there thought he would get eaten by cannibals if he didn't get out of this year's Burning Man festival, said fellow attendee and music producer Diplo. Many have reported a weird and dark energy there this year. Diplo told CNN on Monday that Rock was "really bizarrely scared of what was going to happen" if they didn't leave the grounds.

Chris was scared for his life

Despite how alarming this sounds, it seems like it wasn't such a big deal after all. Diplo joked that Rock was "going to have a huge bit in his next special about Burning Man," given the wild experience they had. He went on to clarify the comedian's state of mind at the time.

"He thought there was going to be cannibalism a day later and didn't know if people were going to run on our camp and steal our stuff," Diplo told CNN. The festival is known for new age and esoteric practices, and many wouldn't be surprised if those rumours were true!

Also interesting:

Over 70,000 attendees were there, and the grounds devolved into a sludge fest after downpours in the Nevada desert. Many that were stranded like Chris Rock were unable to leave Black Rock City, and either had to wait out the rain at their campsite or hike several miles to the main roads. Diplo explained how the pair eventually got out.

"A fan offered Chris Rock and I a ride out of burning man in the back of a pick up," Diplo's comment on an Instagram video he posted read. "After walking 6 miles through the mud… all Chris could think about was a f&cking cold brew," he said.

It's safe to say that after this year's debacle Chris won't be going back any time soon. Most of the people began their exodus today and things seem to be going off without anyone consuming human flesh!
