These were Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and “The Big Bopper” J.P. Richardson. Their deaths marked the end of the early rock n’ roll era. These three musicians were all a part of the “Winter Dance Party” tour that was set to have concerts in 24 cities in the American Midwest in as many days as possible... they had no days off.
