After the big success of The Thorn Birds, the Australian actor Bryan Brown took on the leading role of "Rollie Tyler" in the thriller F/X (1986) and in the sequel F/X2 (1991). Later on, he scored roles in movies like Cocktail (1988) starring alongside Tom Cruise and Gorillas in the Mist (1988) alongside Sigourney Weaver.

After the successful 1980s, Brown started into the new decade with movies like A Perfect Murder (1991). All through the 1990s, he mostly appeared in a number of different movies for television.

In the year 2000, the Australian then convinced the critics again, however, this time with his performance in the thriller Risk, for which he was nominated for an award by the "Film Critics Circle of Australia". 

In the 2000s, Bryan Brown was also featured in well-known movies like Along Came Polly (2004) and Australia (2008) as well as playing supporting roles in TV shows like The Good Wife (2012). More recently, he shot the movies Sweet Country (2017), Australia Day (2017), and Peter Rabbit (2018), in which he played the leading role each time. Brown's recent on-screen appearances include in the television series Bloom as "Ray Reed" from 2019 to 2020, the series 'C*A*U*G*H*T' in 2023, and 'Darby and Jones' in 2022. 

In real life, "Luke" actually married his co-star from The Thorn Birds, Rachel Ward, who we all know and love as "Meggie Cleary". The couple tied the knot in 1983 and they have two daughters and a son. We wish nothing but the best for this talented couple!
