These Celebrities Had Problems With Substance Abuse

Charlie Sheen is no saint when it comes to substance abuse. The Two and a Half Men star has made headlines countless amounts of times due to alcohol and drug abuse. Back in 1998, Sheen had to go make an emergency visit to the hospital after injecting himself with a large dose of cocaine. He almost died from the overdose.

Ghost's Demi Moore's parents struggled with substance abuse and she herself struggled with the same her whole life forcing her into rehab multiple times. During her marriage to much younger Ashton Kutcher, her alcoholism became so bad multiple of her daughters with Bruce Willis completely cut their relationships with her and one daughter even found her on the floor suffering from a seizure. Now Demi is clean and living a great life with her incredibly close-knit family!

NBA superstar fell into the all too familiar self-destructive partying ways that many before him and many after him will fall into. His crack cocaine and alcohol addiction cost him his marriage to gorgeous Khloé Kardashian and almost his life. His spiral landed the NBA legend into a coma in a Las Vegas hospital after being found unconscious at a legal brothel and he suffered several strokes. Even though he had been publicly cheating on her and treating her poorly, his still legal wife rushed to his aide and helped take care of him until he was better and then divorced him.

Now she has been sober for years and has even inspired her friends who struggle with addictions as well.Absurdly handsome John Stamos has been sober since 2015 now. He was charged with a DUI that affected his entire life and says he has sweet Jodie to thank for helping get him through the ordeal. John said "It took me a long time, a long time disappointing everyone who cared about me, culminating in a terrible DUI where I could have killed somebody. I hit rock bottom. Jodie lovingly allowed me to walk my own path and when I finally humbled myself to ask for your help, I realized that the perky little blabbermouth had become the master of wisdom and was right by my side during some of the most difficult days of my life."That's family.

The beautiful Nicole Richie has had a very famous battle with addiction. In 2003 she was arrested due to possession of heroin and again three years later due to driving under the influence of marijuana. She told 20/20 "At 18, I had just been doing a lot of cocaine. I, again, made the decision for myself, this is something I have to do. I have to get off drugs. This isn't the life... this was heroin."

She is now happily married to singer Joel Madden with whom she has two kids. Looks like everything turned out for the best after all!

The most famous mean girl of TV, Wendy Williams has also come clean about her cocaine addiction issues. She has been openly critical of celebrities with addiction issues until she came clean about being "a functioning addict." She told Entertainment Tonight that she "would report working on time and I walked in and all of my coworkers and including my bosses would know but instead of firing me, you see, I would grab my headphones and arrogantly walk into the studio and dare them [to] fire me because I was making ratings."Now she is sober is moving on!

Perpetual party girl Lindsay Lohan had a very public relationship with intoxicants, forcing her to go to rehab at least 3 times and being convicted of drunk driving twice. She's had more arrests for her erratic behavior or destruction of property. She has been trying to stick with sobriety and had to even get a harsh reality check from Oprah herself. She seems to be doing much better now although she still has a bad reputation in Holywood for her poor treatment of other people and ego issues.
