Amanda Bynes is free from her conservatorship after her hearing this Tuesday. The teen actress and ex-Disney star felt that she was ready to move on after 7 years of being on and off conservation.

Amanda Bynes inspired by Britney Spears

As she was granted freedom this Tuesday, in a statement released to ET, Bynes' lawyer,  David A. Esquibias, said that he was "excited" for the star to begin to live life normally.

"We’re all excited and we’re all anxiously looking forward to Amanda living a life as a private and normal citizen," he said. "Ms. Bynes’ parents have both been very supportive throughout the entire conservatorship, and have helped her work towards a positive transition into the real world, which was the goal from the beginning of the legal arrangement."

Bynes, who has been on TV throughout her entire childhood into her young adulthood, suffered through some major mental health difficulties but is on the mend.

In 2020, Bynes checked herself into a mental health facility after posting a series of photos to Instagram that claimed she was pregnant. The photos were promptly deleted, and at the time Esquibias said those claims were untrue

Esquibias also chimed in to give some details about what the Hairspray actress is looking forward to doing in the future in regards to her career.

"She is very creative," he said. "She’s trying to find an outlet for that. I have not heard her say that she's interested in returning to becoming an actress, but I wouldn’t rule that out."

He continued, "She has a new life ahead of her and she is so young. She was a great actress. I’m sure many people would love to see her return to acting."

Bynes felt that she was on the up, and was inspired by Britney Spears, who went through her own 13-year conservatorship. The court recently ruled Spears fit to end her conservatorship after a taxing few months that has sparked some more controversy in the family. Her success was a catalyst for Bynes to file for herself.

Congrats to Amanda!
