When Avengers: Infinity War actor Paul Bettany first laid eyes on Jennifer Connelly, he knew Jen was the one. The pair first met on set in the 2001 film, A Beautiful Mind, where Russell Crowe actually played Jennifer's love interest in the movie. But did you know that Paul actually had a major crush on her even before they met in real life?

Before they starred in the same film together, Paul had actually watched Jennifer in films like Labyrinth and Once Upon a Time in America and was not just impressed by her acting, but also (and especially) her beauty.
Paul told Larry King that upon meeting each other during A Beautiful Mind, "it was pretty instant" on how he felt about his connection towards her. However, they were both in committed relationships at the time.
Surprisingly, Paul also stated that it was the September 11th attacks in New York that fueled him to call Jennifer and admit his love for her.
"I spent two days trying to call this woman. (...) I realized I was in love. So I finally got her on the phone and said 'I'm coming over, and let's get married'. And that's really what happened. We had never dated."

Jennifer said okay, and he flew immediately from his home in the UK to be with his future wife in New York. The pair married on January 1st, 2003 in a private ceremony in Scotland. Yes, that means that the two have been married for 19 years! Connelly has a child from a previous relationship and two children (a son and daughter) with Paul.
