Critics were predicting a sunken ship as Titanic neared its release date because of the film's ballooning budget. Even when you factor in inflation, it cost more money to make the movie than to build the real-life ship. The exact opposite of a disaster happened as "Jack" and "Rose" captured the hearts of countless movie-goers.

"You're still my best girl, "Cora"!" The cute little girl from Titanic will be remembered by all with this phrase from "Jack Dawson" aka Leonardo DiCaprio. "Cora Cartmell" was played by Alexandrea Owens-Sarno, who can still be recognized today by her big green eyes and her curly mane. The actress was just eight years old when filming took place over 20 years ago, for which she is still celebrated today.

Alex still remembers her time during the shooting of Titanic. On Instagram, a few years ago, she published an essay from her primary school days. Then, in April 2020, Alexandrea posted a throwback picture of herself and Leonardo DiCaprio, in which she sits on Leo's lap during a Titanic shooting break. After Titanic, Alexandrea Owens-Sarno remained true to acting, but within the framework of smaller theatre and film productions.
On December 19, 1997, Titanic was released in U.S. cinemas. It was nominated for 14 Oscars, winning 11 of them! The film shares a three-way tie in record Oscar wins. The movie has grossed over $2 billion since its release over 25 years ago.
