Titanic managed to get a total of 14 Oscar nominations, of which it won 11, including some of the most coveted, such as Best Picture and Best Director. With the 11 Academy Awards obtained, Titanic remains one of the three most awarded films in the entire history of the Oscars, along with Ben-Hur and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.

- The main set for the film was built on the southern coast of Playas de Rosarito, in Baja California, Mexico.
