Tom Holland and Zendaya may not have confirmed their relationship status, but they have both made it clear that they're not fans of paparazzi! In separate interviews with GQ, the two young stars acknowledged the photos of them sharing an intimate moment in a car that circulated this summer, opening up about the incident.

Holland says he and Zendaya "felt robbed of our privacy"

Holland is featured in GQ's cover story for the 2021 Men of the Year issue, and opened up to the magazine about how his and Zendaya's celebrity status has complicated their lives. The actor said that "privacy isn’t really in our control anymore, and a moment that you think is between two people that love each other very much is now a moment that is shared with the entire world."

He went on to share that privacy is something he has been "really adamant" about maintaining, which made the paparazzi photos of him and Zendaya upsetting. Holland told the outlet that the two of them "sort of felt robbed of our privacy" after the pictures in question started to make the rounds, admitting he's even had nightmares since. As Entertainment Tonight shares, Zendaya also shared her feelings in her own GQ interview, echoing a similar sentiment to Holland.

The Emmy-winning Euphoria actress called the leaked photos of their kiss "quite strange and weird and confusing and invasive," explaining that "when you really love and care about somebody, some moments or things, you wish were your own." Even though the stars who play "Peter Parker" and "MJ" in the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home are keeping their relationship on the down low for now, it's evident that they want to protect it from the public eye!
