When Welsh actress Catherine Zeta-Jones and American actor Michael Douglas wed in 2000, they were the talk of the town. Catherine, who was only 25 at the time, was marrying a man double her age! Over twenty years later, the couple is still as happy as ever, and on September 25th, Catherine and Michael will celebrate their 55th and 80th birthdays respectively!

Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas would first meet in France at the Deauville Film Festival. When their mutual friend, actor Danny Devito, introduced them to one another, sparks were flying. The pair would begin dating in 1999, and on November 18, 2000, the happy couple had the wedding of the century at the Plaza Hotel!

Looking as dapper as ever, the clan attended a Royal Investiture at Buckingham Palace in 2011, in which Prince Charles awarded Catherine Zeta-Jones with the Commander of the Order of the British Empire honor for her outstanding charity work! 

The early 2010s would prove to be a rough few years for Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas. Douglas would be diagnosed with tongue cancer in 2010 and the illness would set Zeta-Jones into an emotional spiral. The stress of both of their illnesses took its toll on the happy couple leading them to live separately for a brief period of time in 2013. However, the pair pulled through the setbacks and are stronger than ever before!
