Vin Diesel's films are usually full of action and gnarly stunts, but the actor is much more than just a muscleman. Privately he is married, with his wife. Vin Diesel has three children.
Vin Diesel first came to acting via circumvention, although his stepfather was an acting teacher: He broke into a theater as a child to trash it. Together with his friends, he had to rehearse for a play every day after school as punishment. This sparked his interest, and Diesel moved to Hollywood after high school.
Success did not come, so the actor moved back to New York. There, only Vin Diesel's own film "Multi-Facial" could ensure that the actor found work. The autobiographical short film is about Diesel hardly finding work as a mixed-race actor. Steven Spielberg saw the work and wrote a role for Diesel in "Saving Private Ryan".
Vin Diesel's film career experienced a huge boost thanks to Spielberg's generosity. He went on to star in "Pitch Black," "The Fast and the Furious" series, the "Triple X" flicks and other action films. Diesel was also a producer for the "Fast & Furious" films.
But Vin Diesel was not only seen in films as an action hero. The actor was also successful as "Babynator" and starred in the courtroom drama "Find me Guilty". In "Guardians of the Galaxy" he voices "Groot", just like in the "Avengers movies".
In his private life, the actor is down-to-earth - in contrast to his wild film roles. After a few relationships with colleagues, including Michelle Rodriguez, he has been happy with his partner Paloma Jimenez for years. Vin Diesel has three children with her, daughter Pauline is named after his late best friend Paul Walker.
