  • She has chosen to reverse them
  • Her attitude towards aging has changed

Melissa Gilbert, who was famously known as "Laura Ingalls" on 'Little House on the Prairie', has now become an advocate for aging.

She now expresses disapproval towards Hollywood's fixation with physical appearance.

Her attitude towards aging has completely changed

After appearing on 'Dancing with the Stars' and experiencing several major life changes, such as a divorce and health issues, Melissa Gilbert began to question her priorities.

The entertainment industry often prioritizes youth and beauty over talent, making recognition a constant struggle for many talented stars such as this 'Little House on the Prairie' actress.

As Melissa Gilbert explained in 'USA Today' about the constant pressure she felt to fixate on physical things such as losing weight, hiding her freckles, and enlarging her breasts over her acting talent.

"I was fighting this uphill battle, and it was just exhausting," Melissa talks about the pressure to lose weight in the film industry.

She eventually regretted all the changes she had made in pursuit of eternal youth and superficial beauty.
