The Duchess had just given birth to their son Archie when the date of the film's premiere arrived. After giving birth on May 6, 2019, Prince Harry's wife was not doing well - which is why Meghan called this time "a cruel chapter“ in her life.

“I just had Archie. It was such a cruel chapter. I was scared to go out", said Meghan in an interview. Meghan also recalled in conversation with the reporter that a member of the film crew approached her to give her an important message.

"He said, ‘I just need you to know: When you married into this family, we rejoiced in the streets the same we did when Mandela was freed from prison’ .” However, Meghan did not want to reveal who this was.
