Archie Mountbatten-Windsor's voice was heard for the first time ever this week! As Entertainment Tonight shares, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle released a special episode of their podcast on Tuesday, which saw Archie make a surprise appearance!
Baby Archie delivers message with Meghan and Harry
Archie's parents can be heard prompting the young royal to talk before he says his first-ever word to the world! "You can speak into it," Harry explains. "Archie, is it fun?" Meghan then asks the young royal. "Fun?" Archie says, echoing his mom. A thrilled Meghan says the word again, delighted by her son's repetition!
That's when the Duke of Sussex enlists Archie's help, encouraging this son to deliver a special holiday message with him and Meghan! "After me," Harry begins. "Ready? Happy..." Archie repeats the word "happy," which is followed by Meghan and Harry saying the word "new". Then Archie finishes the sentence with "year," which leads to Meghan and Harry cheering!
Archie's parents recently signed a deal with Spotify
Archie's first vocal appearance came during the holiday episode of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's brand-new Spotify podcast! Earlier this month, it was reported that Harry and Meghan had signed a deal with the audio streaming service. This ultimately led to the creation of Archewell Audio, which was named after the couple's new non-profit foundation.
The 2020 Archewell Audio Holiday Special marks the first full episode of the royals' podcast, after a 2-minute teaser was shared a couple of weeks ago. It sees Harry and Meghan look back on the year with the help of some notable names, including James Corden, Tyler Perry, and Sir Elton John. And now that we've heard Archie speak, maybe we can look forward to some more appearances from the young royal in the future!
