It was a very exciting day when Princess Charlène (43) traveled back to Monaco last week. Because of a serious ENT infection, she had to stay in South Africa for months. Now she is finally reunited with her family and fans were looking forward to a new appearance by the princess.

The Monegasque national holiday on November 19th would have been the perfect occasion for this, but it seems that fans will be disappointed. Charlène has had to cancel her appearance which has, in turn, sparked concern for her health and well-being

Princess Charlène has to cancel the appointment

An official statement from the palace on Princess Charlène's condition, which was shared on Facebook, states: "There Serene Highnesses have both decided that a period fo calm and rest is necessary to ensure the very best recovery for Princess Charlene's health. Having battled poor health over the last few months, the Princess is currently convalescing and will continue to do so for the coming weeks, allowing Her time to recover from a state of profound general fatigue."

Concerning what was supposed. tobe her next public engagement, the statement said, "Due to this situation, the Princely Couple regrets to announce that Princess Charlene will be unable to attend this year's Fête Nationale (National Day) alongside Her family and the people of Monaco." They go on to say that when Princess Charlene is feeling better, she will continue to live out her public engagements. At this time, her whereabouts will remain confidential.

One can only hope that Charlène will recover quickly and that she will be able to take part in one or two appearances with her husband Prince Albert (63) and their six-year-old twins Jacques and Gabriella ahead of the Christmas holidays.

We wish her a speedy recovery and all the best!
