- Duchess Camilla appears in new Q&A video
- Camilla explains her top literary dinner guests
- The royal chooses interesting classic characters
Duchess Camilla knows exactly which famous literary characters she would want to invite over for dinner! As Hello! shares, the Duchess of Cornwall recently took answered some questions from her book club members in a special video, and when the topic came up, she was prepared!
Camilla shares "extraordinary mixture" of fictional guests
Camilla stated that she has "quite an extraordinary mixture" of characters she would choose. She first named "The Count of Monte Cristo," followed by "Mrs. Danvers" from Rebecca and "Count Fosco" from The Woman in White, who she called "two rather devious characters to spice up the whole thing."
While the Duchess of Cornwall may have said she "wanted somebody a bit different" for some of her first fictional guests in this imagined scenario, the next character she chose is one of the most famous literary women! She named Pride and Prejudice's "Elizabeth Bennett," calling her "a personal heroine of mine" as well as "a good strong woman to keep the show on the road."
Duchess Camilla's final choice was The Pursuit of Love's "Uncle Matthew," who she said would "probably" have "his entrenching tool to keep everyone under control." This isn't the first time the royal has shared her literary opinions! Not long after Camilla's Instagram book club made its highly-anticipated return last summer, the royal also shared where her favourite reading spot is, encouraging the club members to share their own.
