- Duchess Meghan started small
- She used to have a secret part-time job
- This is something very extraordinary
Duchess Meghan (40) didn't have a huge start in Hollywood. Long before her acting breakthrough and her marriage to Prince Harry (37) in 2018, she had a normal job.
Duchess Meghan: Secret part-time job
Duchess Meghan had a part-time job to keep her head above water during auditions in her early days as an actress. But instead of following the cliché and working as a waitress or serving coffee, Meghan had a very different second job.
Prince Harry's wife gave calligraphy lessons. From 2004 to 2005, she worked at the Beverly Hills branch of Paper Source, a specialty paper and office supplies store.
"It was her part-time job as she was going through auditions. She taught calligraphy and hosted a group of customers and instructed them during a two-hour class on how to do calligraphy," revealed Winnie Park, CEO of Paper Source.
Duchess Meghan earlier on Deal or No Deal
In addition, she worked as a freelance "beautiful writer" and designed wedding invitations, including for the wedding of Robin Thicke and Paula Patton in 2005. What many didn't know: Duchess Meghan in 2006 and 2007, was the Number girl on the TV show Deal or No Deal.
