- Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan made a red carpet appearance
- Meghan Markle looked incredible
- She shone as a Lady in Red
What an appearance on the red carpet for Duchess Meghan on Wednesday evening. Prince Harry (37) and his wife Meghan (40) have not been seen this glamorous for quite some time. Together they attended the Salute to Freedom Gala, which was held in New York on the eve of Veteran's Day in honor of American veterans and soldiers.
Prince Harry had the honour to hand out the Intrepid Valor Awards to soldiers, military families, or veterans at the Gala. Ahead of the night, Prince Harry's attire choice was in question in regards to whether or not he would appear in uniform.
Duchess Meghan as a stunning lady in red
However, his wife, Duchess Meghan, stole the show. In a stunning red gown from Carolina Herrera, Meghan stole everyone's attention on the red carpet. The Duchess of Sussex wowed with a high leg slit in the dress and a plunging intricate neckline. She looked confident and comfortable with gorgeous makeup and her hair pulled back.
As previously suspected, Prince Harry opted for a black suit. He pinned his four military medals and a red poppy to the suit as well. In Great Britain and Canada, this is a symbol in honor of the military, and other British Royals have been spotted wearing this flower on Remembrance Day in recent years. Harry selected the cross for Knight Commander of Royal Victorian Order for his appearance, which he wears around his neck.
The Prince has not been allowed to wear his uniform since he left the British royal family. Prince Harry, who himself served in the military for ten years, holds the military and veterans close to his heart.
It is clear to see Harry and Meghan's love shine through in their public appearances, but it was especially clear at the Gala. Congratulations to the beautiful couple on such a wonderful appearance!
