Meghan Markle delivered a powerful message during the Vax Live concert on Saturday.

She and Prince Harry organized the charity event, and the Duchess of Sussex joined the show to speak on how women around the world have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the expecting mother's first appearance since her interview with Oprah Winfrey over two months earlier.

From an outdoor setting, Meghan addressed viewers of Vax Live: "We've gathered tonight because the road ahead is getting brighter. But it's going to take every one of us to find our way forward.

"As campaign chairs of Vax Live, my husband and I believe it's critical that our recovery prioritizes the health, safety, and success of everyone — and particularly women, who have been disproportionately affected by this pandemic," she continued. The full speech is viewable below.

In the message, the expecting mother also reflected on the world that she'll soon be bringing a daughter into. "My husband and I are thrilled to soon be welcoming a daughter," Meghan said.

"It's a feeling of joy we share with millions of other families around the world. When we think of her, we think of all the young women and girls around the globe who must be given the ability and the support to lead us forward."

Pregnant Meghan's first appearance since Oprah interview

The Duchess of Sussex concluded her speech by emphasizing Vax Live's goal of equitably distributed and fairly priced vaccines for people in all countries around the world. She said:

"Across the world, we've struggled together. Now we deserve to heal together. We want to make sure that as we recover, we recover stronger, that as we rebuild, we rebuild together. Thank you."

Meghan had last been seen on March 7 during her and Harry's big interview with Oprah Winfrey. For Vax Live, she spoke from a backyard setting not unlike that of the earlier interview.
