The Prince of Wales and his wife Duchess Camilla visited Northern Ireland on Wednesday and especially Charles was very much in awe of a throne made for the wrap party of Game of Thrones at the Ulster Museum.

Prince Charles: "A frame of thrones"

Prince Charles and Camilla carried out a number of engagements during the day, also paying tribute to frontline workers amid the ongoing COVID-10 pandemic. Then while being given a tour of the Ulster Museum, Charles took quite an interest in a massive willow throne that was created especially for the wrap party of the HBO hit show Game of Thrones.

The Prince of Wales looked amused as he stood in front of the structure, which is a woven replica of the so-called "Iron Throne" from the show, which was mainly filmed in in the Belfast region. While posing for photographs next to the throne, he quipped "A frame of thrones," and smiled.

The pictures might actually make Prince William and his wife Duchess Catherine a little jealous, since the couple admitted to having watched the show when they met German actor Tom Wlahischa during a visit to Berlin in 2017.

Back then, Tom said that they wanted him to reveal details about the show: "They said they really liked Game of Thrones and have watched every [season]. They wanted spoilers but I said I couldn't tell them. I'm surprised they have time to watch such a long-running series."
