The Duchess of Sussex is finding it difficult to ignore the constant criticism levelled at her by the world's media. The Daily Mail has reported that Meghan has been feeling "miserable" lately and US Weekly revealed that a royal insider had told them that "Meghan has so much on her plate, between being pregnant and dealing with the public backlash and she's finding the whole situation incredibly stressful".

Unsure Meghan Can Cope With Her New Role

Last week, Princess Diana's former butler Paul Burrell, predicted dark times ahead for Meghan in Channel 5's documentary Kate V Meghan: Princesses at War, comparing Meghan's last few months as a royal to Princess Diana's experiences. Burrell claimed that Buckingham Palace is a "minefield" for those new to the household and stated that he wasn't sure whether Meghan can cope with her new role.

Royal expert Melanie Bromley told the Express that part of Meghan's stress could be attributed to her inability to fight back or refute various claims, saying, "Now she is a member of the Royal Family, she's lost her voice and is not able to actually say 'hey, Kate and I are not arguing every Sunday over our roast dinner'".

Meghan has had to put up with a lot over the last few months, from her  half-sister and father repeatedly publicly insulting her, to her half-brother's problems with the law, to rumours that she was at war with the Duchess of Cambridge.

We completely understand why Prince Harry would be worried about his wife and can only hope that 2019 and their move into their new home will signal a fresh start for the Sussexes!
