It is lovely to see Prince William (36) keeping his mother's memory alive. Princess Diana was known for her philanthropy and passed on the importance of helping others to her children, William and Harry (34).
Prince William first visited The Passage as a young boy in 1993 with his mother and has since supported its work, going back to visit several times over the last twenty-five years. Kensington Palace released a photo of eleven-year-old William's signature in The Passage's guest book, just under his mother, Princess Diana's.

Visiting The Passage in May 2016 he gave a speech revealing just how important it is to him saying: "The visits I made as a child to this place left a deep and lasting impression upon me – about how important it is to ensure that everyone in our society, especially the poorest, are treated with respect, dignity and kindness, and are given the opportunities to fulfil their potential in life".
The Passage's Chief Executive, Mick Clarke, is delighted about their new Royal Patron: "During His Royal Highness’ visits to The Passage, it has been very clear that he has a deep concern for those affected by homelessness and a real interest in our work. For His Royal Highness to further express his support for The Passage’s work by becoming our Royal Patron is a tremendous honour, and a testament to how much he genuinely cares about this issue".
