Christmas is just around the corner and it's already been festive for the royals. The holiday cards have been rolling in from the royal households, and it's always interesting to see which photo the royals pick.

While Duchess Kate and Prince William chose a summery picture for their card, it is a bit more Christmassy in Monaco. Princess Charlene now shared her family's card on Instagram. However, it surprised fans with a special detail.

Princess Charlene's unusual Christmas card for 2021

The Christmas card from Princess Charlene and her loved ones really brings the Christmas spirit up.

The image shows her in a glamorous gold robe, with husband Prince Albert in a suit and their 7-year-old twins. Gabriella smiles sweetly in a pink dress and Jacques, just like dad, wears a stylish suit.

The four pose in front of a richly decorated Christmas tree and gifts. The highlight of the Christmas card: the portrait is painted. Instead of a classic photo, the Monegasque royals went with an artistic touch this year.

"Wishing everyone a beautiful and safe festive season all my love," writes Princess Charlene with the post. Most recently, the Princess has largely withdrawn from the public eye.

Sadly, the royal has continued to struggle with health problems since her return from South Africa. By Christmas, hopefully Charlene will be well again and can be with her family.
