• Princess Kate makes a statement
  • She comments on Photoshop rumors
  • What does she have to say?

Over the weekend, Princess Kate (42) showed signs of life for the first time since her abdominal surgery. She published a new picture with her children. Shortly afterwards, however, unpleasant speculation broke out: Was the picture photoshopped?

Now, in an unusual move, the Princess herself is speaking out with a statement.

Princess Kate apologizes for photo editing

In fact, Princess Kate admits to the photo editing and apologizes for it. The wife of Prince William (41) writes in the Instagram story of her official Instagram account:

"Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with photo editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused."

She also hopes that everyone who celebrated yesterday had a wonderful Mother's Day. The picture of her with her three children George (10), Charlotte (8) and Louis (5) sitting on a garden chair was shared by Kate on the occasion of Mother's Day in the UK.

Shortly after publication, however, all the picture agencies withdrew the picture - the reason: "On closer inspection, it appears that the source has manipulated the image", according to the 'Associated Press', among others.

It is now clear that the amateur photographer has actually tried her hand at image editing software. Among other things, anomalies on Kate's zipper and Charlotte's hand were highlighted online.
